Job description
AC Immune is seeking a junior IP Associate, Biology who would support the IP team in managing the patent portfolio covering biology-related inventions
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Freedom-To-Operate and Patentability searches.
- Define and drive patent searches, analyze the search results and present the results in the form of reports and presentations
- Perform patent landscape analysis for new projects
- Monitor competitors, drive competitor IP watch
- Support IP team in managing the IP portfolio for biology-related inventions and technology platforms (new patent filings, patent prosecution, oppositions, including coordination with inventors and outside patent counsels).
Required:
- PhD or MSc. in a Life Sciences-related discipline, with good knowledge of molecular biology
- At least 2 years’ IP (patents) working experience
- Personal skills include:
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize, analyze and communicate key information
- Strong interpersonal skills for building networks with key experts and ensuring the interface with internal departments
- Ability to adapt priorities to meet company needs while maintaining effectiveness
- Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Team player
- Leadership and project management skills

- Good spoken and written English are required
