Un(e) ingénieur(e) généraliste, à composante "Mécanique/Physique" (H/F)

De formation supérieure ingénieur et/ou docteur, diplômé du CEIPI et ayant les qualifications de CPI et de mandataire européen (ou en cours d’acquisition), vous avez acquis une expérience d’au moins 3 ans en cabinet ou dans l’industrie.

Vous travaillerez directement en relation avec les associés du cabinet.

Les principales qualités requises pour ce poste sont d’excellentes capacités rédactionnelles, une autonomie dans votre travail, un véritable esprit d’équipe, un sens aigu de la clientèle ainsi que la maîtrise de l’anglais, et de préférence d’une autre langue telle que l’allemand, le chinois ou le japonais.

Ce poste est à pourvoir dès que possible à Grenoble.

La rémunération sera déterminée en fonction du profil et de l’expérience du candidat.

We are looking for a Senior Manager IP & Legal during the period of a maternity leave (from June to November 2020).

Missions :

Under the responsibility of the Pharma BU Executive Vice President, your missions include :

• Legal/ contracts

 - Act as an internal advisor for relevant legal topics with the support of external attorneys, if needed
 - Coordinate the action of external attorneys for relevant legal topics (corporate- and HR- related topics excluded)
 - Draft and negotiate the agreements (MTA, sponsored research, clinical studies, services, ...), in close coordination with the relevant internal departments, and with the support of external attorneys if needed.

• IP portfolio management 

 - Manage prosecution of patent families and trademarks
- Patentability, FTO...
- Interface with IP law firms and licensors

• IP enforcement 

Coordinate the IP enforcement activities in close coordination with internal stakeholders and with the support of external attorneys

PROFILE

• Master degree in Biology/biotechnology
• Complementary master in IP (ex: CEIPI) or law
• IP knowledge
• Knowledge on contractual aspects particularly in research collaboration and projects
• Drafting skills
• At least 5 years' experience in a similar position
• Fluent English and French

Les missions consistent en la gestion de différents dossiers (Rédactions de demande de brevet, études de liberté d’exploitation, analyses de contrefaçon, analyses de validité, procédures, recherches d’art antérieur, études de brevetabilité, etc…) pour nos clients grand-compte ou individuels. Les domaines techniques visés sont variés et englobent par exemple le domaine automobile, le transport maritime, la performance thermique, etc…

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The IP Counsel Chemistry Biochemistry will be part of a patent team dedicated to Synthetic Molecules patent protection and will protect invention from R&D.
The position reports directly to one of the Leader Synthetic Molecules Patent France.
He/she must have the legal and technical skills and experience necessary to drive successful legal and IP outcomes when the need arises, and the ability and desire to work collaboratively with a variety of Sanofi stakeholders, including for example, senior management, scientists, project sponsors, regulatory, legal and IP colleagues.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITES

• Identify key IP assets to protect and defend
• Evaluate patentability, validity and enforceability of IP rights
• Conduct and provide Freedom to Operate analysis
• Determine type and duration of exclusivity available (Patent, Regulatory Data Protection)
• Evaluate status and scope of IP rights
• Assess relative IP position of key competitors
• Guide scientists, management and project leader
• Negotiate IP-related matters in agreements
• Evaluate litigation strategy
