We are currently seeking a highly skilled and qualified European Patent Attorney specialized in the
field of biotechnology to join our dynamic team.
As a PhD. graduate in a cutting-edge domain relating to biology or biotechnology, you will play a
crucial role in supporting and protecting the intellectual property of the finest startups in the Belgian
health and greentech industries. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with
prestigious incubators and influential investors, contributing to the growth and success of
groundbreaking projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting in-depth patent research and analysis to assess the novelty and patentability of biotech innovations.
- Drafting high-quality patent applications to secure intellectual property rights for our clients.
- Managing patent prosecution, including responding to office actions and communicating with patent offices.
- Providing strategic advice and counseling on intellectual property matters to startups and investors.
- Conducting due diligence for potential investment and partnership opportunities.
- Assisting in patent portfolio management and maintenance.
- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in biotechnology and patent laws.
- Qualified as a European Patent Attorney with a strong background in biotechnology.
- Hold a PhD. in a cutting-edge domain relating to biology or biotechnology.
- Proven experience in drafting and prosecuting biotech patent applications.
- In-depth knowledge of European and international patent laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills to effectively collaborate with startups, incubators, and investors.
- Adept at working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with a keen eye for detail.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
